Preheat the Air Fryer
- First, preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-4 minutes. It may seem like a small step, but preheating makes a big difference in getting that perfect golden texture. I personally do this so I recommend it.

Prepare the Asparagus
- While the air fryer heats up, wash and trim the tough, woody ends of the asparagus spears, then pat them completely dry. Let me give you a little tip, dry asparagus crisps up beautifully, while wet asparagus tends to steam instead.

Season asparagus
- Place the asparagus in a bowl or directly in the air fryer basket. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to coat evenly. I love adding a pinch of chili flakes or lemon zest here for extra flavor.

Air Fry to Perfection
- Cook for 7- 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The asparagus should be slightly golden with crisp edges and a tender bite. But remember guys, thinner spears may cook faster, so keep an eye on them around the 6-minute mark.

Serve & Enjoy
- Transfer to a serving plate, squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice on top, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese if you are a cheese lover like me. Serve hot & they would be amazing on their own or as a side dish with chicken, fish, or pasta.

Notes
- Asparagus Size Matters: Thin asparagus cooks faster (6–8 minutes), while thick spears may need 8-10 minutes for perfect crispiness.
- Do Not Overcrowd: Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Seasoning Variations: Try garlic & Parmesan, lemon zest, red chili flakes, or balsamic glaze to suit your taste.
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer 2-3 minutes for best results.
