- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix gently (don’t overmix).
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
- Pour batter and cook until bubbles form on top.
- Flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with syrup, butter, or extra chocolate chips.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the batter - it keeps pancakes fluffy
- Let batter rest 5 minutes for softer texture
- Add extra chocolate chips on top while cooking for gooey finish
- You can use dark, milk, or white chocolate chips
