  • 1 pizza dough pre-made or homemade
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast shredded or diced
  • 4 strips crispy chopped bacon
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 egg beaten
  • A pinch of salt black pepper, and garlic powder

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine cooked chicken, crispy bacon, ranch dressing, mozzarella, cheddar, and seasonings until well mixed.
  2. Roll pizza dough into even circles on a lightly floured surface, keeping edges slightly thicker.
  3. Spoon filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving space at the edges. Fold over and seal tightly with a fork.
  4. Place calzones on a lined baking sheet, brush with beaten egg or butter, and bake at 400°F (200°C) until golden.
  5. Cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with ranch or marinara for dipping.

Notes

  • Use leftover rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Add extra cheese or veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for variety.
  • Brush the calzones with butter instead of olive oil for a richer flavor.
  • Calzones can be frozen before baking & just thaw and bake when ready to serve.
